WiFlex 2013 will be organized on the coast of the Baltic Sea in Svetlogorsk, a very nice resort of Kaliningrad (former Königsberg).

The Seven Bridges of Königsberg inspired Euler to write his foundational paper on graph theory. Bessel, Jacobi, Kirchhoff, Minkowski, Hilbert, whose names are familiar to every student of mathematics, physics, or engineering, all studied or worked here. The city witnessed the origin of whole areas of modern science. Kaliningrad is also famous because of its sights: Kaliningrad Organ (one of the greatest in the world),  Amber Museum, Curonian Spit  with the Dancing/Drunk forest and the greatest dune in Europe. We are planning free excursions to some of them.

Svetlogorsk (former Rauschen) is a Baltic Sea resort  popular among Germans since 1820. Being at the same distance from the airport as from Kaliningrad centre (about 30-40 minutes), Svetlogorsk is an ideal place for conferences. WiFlex will be hosted in Russ hotel. It is a modern hotel with a beautiful leafy park, on a high cliff along the Baltic Sea. Russ is only a 5-minute walk to reach the resort’s centre and its promenade, where vacationers can take a relaxing stroll. Only a few meters away, a staircase leads visitors to a well-maintained sandy beach with modern amenities.
